My QR code is not working
You may see an 'Invalid code' message when you scan your code. There are a number of reasons this could happen:
- The deal has expired (most deals will have a limited lifetime)
- The deal can only be used a limited number of times, and you've already used it
- The deal is only available at certain times of the week
- The deal isn't available at the location you're at
- The deal is for a product that isn't available at the location or machine you're at (e.g. it's for a vacuum and the
location only has automatic carwashes)
- The location you're at doesn't support the 'Tap & Pa$$' app
For any of these, the payment terminal screen should display a message letting you know the reason.
If the code doesn't seem to scan at all (for example if you are scanning a paper receipt and it's damaged, or the
scanner itself is faulty), you can also select 'enter code' on the payment terminal touchscreen, and enter the
code manually - it will be a 5 or 6 digit number displayed near the QR code.
